I DID IT!
Sunday, February 22nd, 2009
Hi, friends!
I know; it’s been a really long time since I’ve been here. To say that life has been busy would be the biggest understatement ever. There’s so much to tell you!
Let me start with…I DID IT! I have lost (more than) 101 pounds! I actually first hit 133 pounds almost three weeks ago. (It was February 5, to be exact.) I’ve been hovering between 131.8 and 134.4 since then. I’m still working out really hard, and I’m eating better than ever. I actually think I’ve stalled a little because I’ve cut the calories back a little too far. I took yesterday off from counting calories, but I’ll get back to it today. I had gotten down to around 1300 calories a day, and I lost consistently doing that for a couple weeks. I just think it’s not enough to support my workouts so my body isn’t giving up any more weight at the moment. I’ve upped it a little, and I’ll do that for a week or so and see how it goes. I want to lose another 10-15 pounds and get to a very healthy weight for someone my height (which is wicked short).
Okay, so for those of you who’ve been here a while, you know that one of the gifts I decided to give myself when I hit my goal weight was a tattoo. I got my tattoo last Thursday. I LOVE IT! It’s a picture of my grandpa’s feed mill. It’s my first tattoo ever. I was really nervous, but everything about the experience was awesome. It was truly a celebration of all my hard work and dedication over the last two years. They warned me while I was getting it that they are addictive, and I definitely understand that now. There has to be some other awesome goal I can set for myself to justify giving myself another one, right?
Here’s the picture…it’s on the outside of my left calf.

I’m so amazed at the level of detail still. It’s an awesome rendition of the building, which was built in the late 40s and still stands. My step-sister and her husband have renovated my grandpa’s house, and so they now live across the road from the mill. I got goosebumps yesterday when I drove by there honestly. It’s such a happy place for me. We all grew up playing there and spending time with Grandpa. I’m really excited that this is what I decided my tattoo should be and that it turned out so incredible. I’m happy to share the details of who did it and where if anyone wants that, just email me.
I’m off…I have to get packed up and checked out of the hotel.
Have a phenomenal day!
